With such sidemen as either , or on trumpet and (on a few numbers) pianist and his group are heard recording radio transcriptions for World Broadcasting. Other than the music emphasizes lesser-known tunes and contains plenty of fine solos from , including the surprisingly advanced "Re-Bop." ~ Scott Yanow
