Elle, a renowned intelligence expert and a counterterrorism specialist, had been hunting (perhaps even stalking) one of the most wanted and certainly one of the most dangerous men in the world for years now and whose arrest the U.S. would offer a $25 million reward (not that she was doing it for the fame or money): Abu Musab al_Zarqawi, dead or alive. She knew that some say he is mystical and can walk through walls; a man who was everywhere and yet nowhere. But those were just details that would never deter Elle. She would remain relentless and would not stop till she found him.
It was well known that Zarqawi would take a keen interest in those who take a keen interest in him. With Elle's deployment to Camp Delta, GTMO and later to Abu Ghraib hadn't she revealed HER keen interest? She knew that Zarqawi had "friends" at both prisons and she knew all too well what he did to those who took that type of interest.
