"A Different Kind of Holiday" is a short story collection telling the stories of Hermine, Mariella, and Lucia. All three of these women struggle to celebrate winter holidays during a global pandemic. After months of lockdowns and social distancing, they want nothing more than a regular holiday celebration. Hermine struggles to carry on an important family tradition. Mariella fights to see her best friend after two years apart. Lucia balances her first Hanukkah celebration with her boyfriend, Jayson, and her tight paychecks. These women remind us that this is a different kind of holiday, but that different can be good.
