After defeating the Ashghul and awakening the Salmarion, Adam and Avery expected a life of adventure with the pirates of the Harrower. Instead they discover that waiting can be the most difficult part of any journey. Stranded in a city of strangers, boredom seems to be their greatest enemy-until the princess Carleia disappears. In a desperate attempt to find her, Jace and the boys, along with pirates Jinner and Jip, put their faith in nefarious entertainer Ortho Zigby, who whisks them away on his giant flying ship. As they sail to the Green Cities with his circus of misfits, they must learn to trust each other or risk being pulled apart by the forces at work in the dark.
