Two years ago, Dorin Walker was in an accident that changed everything. It took away his confidence in his body, his strength, and even his mind. Thanks to the head injury, he still has trouble concentrating at the best of times. Still, he's taking honors classes anyway, because he's bound and determined not to let the accident rule his entire life. Most of the time, he does okay.
Well, except for his temper. Dorin's temper was legendary at his school in New York, and his brothers can only pray that he will somehow manage to control himself better now that they've moved. Dorin's just hoping that his life will get a little bit easier. New people...new surroundings...maybe it will be enough to kick his brain back into gear.
Then he meets Amanda Kent. Mandy is the sweetest, kindest person Dorin has ever met. She's kind, caring, and compassionate--and she gets it. She's been there--is living the horror of life in a wheelchair, and understands the brain fog that sometimes comes over him. She's exactly what he needs--and if Dorin hadn't stopped praying long before, he would be convinced that she is the answer to a lot of prayers.
