After discovering that Lenny is missing-the end product of an encounter with a band of seemingly inept highwaymen-Alex and Sam are catapulted into a harrowing journey into the depths of their own souls in the course of trying to get their friend and guide back. Before all is said and done, Sam will have to confront the torment she has been carrying since childhood and Alex will have to venture to where he never imagined he'd ever have to go.
