Albrecht der Bar (* um 1100, am 18. November 1170), Graf von Ballenstedt, fur wenige Jahre Herzog von Sachsen und ab 1157 schliesslich Markgraf von Brandenburg, zahlt bis heute zu den grossen Personlichkeiten des 12. Jahrhunderts und wird als "Grunder" der Mark Brandenburg sowie des Furstentums Anhalt angesehen.
