"It's not your final grade, Ms. Andrews," he explained while looking at the grade he has given me. "You can still make it if you just focus." Mr. Perkins is right. One of the reasons why I received a low midterm grade is because I skipped his class for two consecutive weeks and missed a lot of important topics. I only did that because my growing attraction for him did not fade away and I was afraid I was becoming obsessed with him. However, my absence did not help me in any way because it only made everything worse. "But Mr. Perkins," I pleaded but it all fell on deaf ears. "Can't you adjust my grade a notch higher?" Diana is a twenty-two year old graduating student who will do everything to make sure she stays on top but everything changed when Mr. Perkins gave her a grade lower than what she was expecting.
