Part one, set in the 1800s, deals with the struggles of a mother and daughter who cannot bond due to unforeseen circumstances. As the daughter, Nanette, grows she is haunted by her drained relationship with her mother. Her only comfort is with her cousin Odette. As years past their bond is destroyed by inner conflicts. With betrayal and hate lingering between them, will their love ever be restored?
Part two, set in the 21st century, is about a young warrior named Kiko who distances herself emotionally after the tragic end of her warrior mother years ago. With a new ally by the name of Marcella will Kiko finally open up her heart? It isn't soon until tragedy dampers the lives of the Amazons that make Kiko bond with her fellow sisters once again.
With so much pain, love, and loss the Amazons are a strong set of women who will do anything to protect their own. Will our heroines stay strong with doubt in their hearts? Only the tough shall survive.
