Humanity has heard the first voices from the stars. But instead of a greeting from distant neighbours, the message contains only one thing: a warning.
Emil Ehlinger, a quiet university professor, has been called to action by the government to gather information on the infamous Ambrus Ligeti- a man with a tragic past who began the crisis that has spanned centuries and has brought the world to its knees.
In exchange for completing this task, Emil is given one chance at life beyond the destruction of the solar system. What is not revealed to him, however, is that his part in the final act of the human race is more important than anything.
Time is running out, and though self-appointed leaders rule the world, there is more at play than just what exists in physical reality. Too much has been asked of humanity, and mere men may not be enough to sway the course of the future.
