Buio Omega, also know as Buried Alive is an Italian slasher film by gore specialist Joe D'Amato. This is one of D'Amato's better-known films, which is a spin on Hitchcock's Psycho, complete with a Norman Bates-like character who has a hobby of stuffing dead females and keeping them around the house for company. The film has inventive but exceptionally gory special effects, including the complete evisceration of a woman. Though one of the best that D'Amato directed, the film has a great deal of gratuitous nudity and an exceptionally silly ending. Not for the weak of heart or stomach.
