About the book: If you are anything like me, you may wonder if miracles still happen. I am talking about the miracles that we desire but keep in our hearts or are too ashamed to tell others about because we may feel as if we're no different from anyone else or that others have it worse than we do, which diminishes our desire for relief or the hope that help is even possible. Maybe you want your family to be fixed, or be free from a troubled mind, or freedom from the results of traumatic experiences that seem to have made life all the more harder as you cling to memories, pain, shame, guilt, and distrust. If no one has said anything to you concerning those deep-seated issues of the heart, let me be the first to say "I believe you and that you are worth taking time for." In saying that, I am alluding to when Jesus would stop and heal people like the woman at the well, Lazarus, and even the woman with the issue of blood, and many others.
Within this book are a collection of poems inspired by the relationship between the psalmist David and God. The book of Psalms is one of my favorite books in the bible simply because I saw how the Psalmist David talked about real concerns and fears in the midst of his experiences and was met with the overwhelming love of God that turned his sorrow into praise every time. In response, I desired the same kind of relationship and started writing. Within this book, you will find how my fearful, hopeless, yet determined heart turned beautiful, strong, and confident as my relationship with Christ grew deeper. I hope that in this book you see the heart of God for you as you too go Beyond The Surface of your personal relationship with Christ.
