After Charlie and Gil swept Kemma into their unexpected adventure outside of the only homes they had known, they now know the truth about their lives. They have been living in human laboratories. Although Kemma has been placed in another laboratory and must trust her instincts and memory to escape, Charlie and Gil try to plan another way out of Paradise for all who want to leave. This time, there is help from the outside. The three friends have to trust that Sawyer, the scientist, is truly on their side and secretly working to help them all. Amongst lies and pretenses, Sawyer and the three adventurers must each find the path to freedom, and hopefully, to each other.
