Alvin Webb has just been released from prison and he is in a murderous rage and out for revenge. He knows he was unjustly imprisoned and blames the investigating officer, the judge and the prosecutor for the death of his fiancée, Roberta Mullins. Nothing is going to keep him from his revenge - not even his friendship with the Hounds from Hell. He had taken to affectionately calling his friends, Morgan, Virgil and Ancil the Hounds from Hell because he knew as soon as the killing started they would track him to hell if necessary. Strangely, he took pleasure in that knowledge and eagerly looked forward to the coming confrontation with them. Morgan had recruited him into the Shooters and made sure he was trained as a sniper and in close combat. He had even paired Alvin with his cousin, Ancil Coeburn, to learn the finer points of infiltration and silent killing. During their time together in Afghanistan, Morgan, Virgil, Ancil and Alvin had become brothers, a family of brothers, because they had fought for one another. But Alvin knew he had begun to like the killing and had hid it from everyone except Ancil who Al Qaeda and the Taliban had taken to calling the 'Little Butcher'.
