Branches, Twigs and Splinters of Lieutenant Colonel William Henry Davis 1747-1818 is about his life and the life of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lieutenant Colonel William Davis was in the Fifth Virginia Regiment in the Revolutionary War and was at the Surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown.
Many wonderful stories have been included in this book. Research back in the 1700's and 1800's can be difficult due to lack of record keeping.. I have tried very hard to make sure that all information in this book is accurate based on the information that has been gathered. To the best of my knowledge and research, William Henry Davis had 11 children, 51 grandchildren and 277 great grandchildren. Many stories have been recorded about many of these wonderful and amazing people. Many pictures and documents have also been included in this book.
