This collection of poetry invites the reader into a meditation on life and faith. Love and loss, growing-up or getting old, high stress or high-on-life, the ups and downs and ins and outs-all are contemplated through verse. Poetry becomes a crucible in which ideas are examined, for the Fire that once came as tongues upon the disciples on Pentecost is still alive and active in the workings of the Spirit, as it is written: "The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes" (John 3:8)
