The "Emmy's Story" series begins when Emmy is four-years-old and quickly progresses to focus on her teen years and beyond. In this book, "Change Is Good: Emmy's Story, Part 20," two of Emmy's closest friends move out of state to begin new lives. and COVID-19 continues to force changes in everyday life.
"How was the board meeting?" Emmy asked.
Tony chuckled. "How did you know it was over? I just got in my truck."
"Carol texted me. Did you decide on anything?"
"We decided not to start Sunday School for now."
"Okay, but I meant about a new pastor."
"Dr. Schofield cautioned us that the process might take longer than normal..."
"Because of COVID," Emmy interrupted.
"That, and he doesn't want the church to make a hasty decision. He will begin looking for candidates. Dr. Schofield was surprised Wyatt didn't go to Michigan with Tyler."
"Wyatt can't leave!" Emmy shouted into her phone.
"Why not?"
"That would mean Krissy would have to move away, and I won't let that happen."
"You're such a goof, Emmy," Tony chuckled.
When I started writing about Emmy, Kenny and all their friends, I thought it would be a single book.
This is book number twenty in the series, and I am currently outlining number twenty-one.
Thanks for the support and encouragement to keep telling Emmy's story.
