Five contributions from Europe and Asia share recent research and theories about the superconductivity of metal hydrides, graphite and carbon based materials, and cuprates. Two of the papers examine the transport and magnetic properties of pure and sulfur-doped graphite, carbons and fullerenes. The remaining topics are the potential of the Josephson effect as a test of the phase rigidity of cuprates, magnetotunneling spectroscopy of p-wave superconductors and quasi one- dimensional superconductors, and the properties of superconducting metal-hydrogen systems prepared with the use of high pressure.
