Determined to Live
is about Janice Riddle and her recovery from a paralyzing gunshot wound at the hands of her husband. It is also about her accepting her new life in a wheelchair and trying to raise her four kids as normally as possible. Returning home from rehabilitation her kids are scared, her parents belittle her, and her husband starts drinking and abandons her. Yet, she still loves him and forgives him.
