When Mercedes gets home, she finds her nephew Ricardo sitting at the piano. She soon realizes his body is frozen. After alerting the police, an officer determines that there is no cadaver at the house. Two days later, a pianist is found dead at the beach. With no signs of violence, the coroner attributes his death to a heart attack. With dense fog in the area, why would Ricardo have bothered to go there? At the funeral, Genoveva, Ricardo's wife, sees Adolfo, a friend of her husband. Although the two have never met, they decide to join forces to try to find out what happened to Ricardo.
