Justin runs a company for the World Government in 2247--a company that makes time- relocating "Bees". He would rather have a peaceful life and pursue his love interest with Sarah, but he makes the "mistake" of saving the life of a man returning in a stolen Bee. Now he has become the unwilling hero of the enslaved people of Earth, and the enemy of Aten, ruler of the world. But Aten needs Justin and his company for he plans to return to the past (our present) on missions to search and destroy. In 2247, Earth's people have no weapons. They only have their leader Justin, Sarah the prophetess of faith, Anna who can control computers with her mind, and Connie, her mind in a computer download. Justin hopes to negotiate with Aten to reduce the worst of his atrocities, but when he stages a worldwide demonstration, he discovers that Aten can murder whole crowds with the touch of a button. Aten rather enjoys it.
