3130The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) received a confidential employee request for a health hazard evaluation at a drum refurbishing plant in Indiana. The requestors reported respiratory irritation, chemical burns, and headaches from exposure to chemicals in the drums. Employees were also concerned about exposure to noise. NIOSH's findings and recommendations are discussed.
