Clarence –Clare –Wexford is moving, and she doesn't know why. Her parents won't tell her, and her siblings are acting suspicious. After being dropped off on the doorstep of a pretentious, ivy-shrouded manor, they drive away. Return date unknown. As Clare wanders the house, she has a nagging feeling that something is off.
The move was last minute, practically the middle of the night so she wonders how certain items like her bed and other heavy furniture made it to the new space before her family did. Late on the first night of arrival she cannot sleep and goes exploring in the house. Being drawn to the attic where her siblings are having a secretive conversation, she is found out. Along with being discovered, Clarence also uncovers the family secret that everyone has been hiding from her.
Upon the revelation, she flees the house to a park where she meets Kaiden. Guarded. Tall, dark and mysterious. A handsome stranger with a charming slyness about him. Could this brooding young man be hiding secrets of his own?
Clarence will do what she needs to, to gather her strength, dig deep and face a dangerous evil that is brewing in the distance.
