When a mysterious stranger blocks Stella's ability to shift, her plan to live as a loner comes crashing down. With nowhere else to go, she takes refuge with a band of merry misfits in the Enchanted Forest. Not everyone is so kind, though. Her mother is out for her heart, though Stella can't tell if she should take that literally or figuratively. The mysterious stranger runs each time Stella tries to confront her. And then there's Harmon, offering a place in his pack that Stella's not sure she can accept.
As past, present, and future collide, Stella must learn to forgive even when she's not sure forgiveness is due, accept the kindness of strangers, and embrace the role that destiny has chosen for her.
