Your author is just a ratty ole soldier. I've been invited to and attended many 'Presidential Vacations' wars that American Troops have been invited to or participated in. I can't talk about more than half of them, they'll still be in secret hold status when I go on my eternal deployment. So you might say that I have a good idea of what's happening, and at least a passing understanding of why it's happening.
There is a Historical ignorance in America, and in the whole world today that almost guarantees George Santayana's philosophical prediction, that, "Who shall not study History is doomed to repeat it."
Between Kristallnacht, (German: "Crystal Night"), also called Night of Broken Glass or November Pogroms, the night of November 9–10, 1938, and May 7th, 1945 the second great killing of the Christian Era occurred.  It may have been smaller or larger than the first great killing, from 1789 - 1815 (The French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars) because of that periods inaccurate record keeping. On both occasions more than six million died, the main difference between the 1st and the 2nd is the wanton barbarity of the 2nd. It was the first time in recorded history that one nation (Who falsely characterized themselves as Aryan) set out to exterminate several races of peoples, Hebrew Semitic Peoples, Romany, and other "Non-Aryan Races," along with all Homosexual Persons. It was Scientific racism, is the pseudoscientific belief that empirical evidence exists to support or justify racism, racial inferiority, or racial superiority. Historically, scientific racist ideas received credence in the scientific community (Eugenics) but are no longer considered scientific.
