Injury to Boston chronicles the return of Jackie Gruendel to the sport she loves! After injury, Jackie reached out to friends to assist in her return. Her call was answered by the author, who had recently retired and decided it would be perfect to walk with Jackie, who he had previously trained with, nearly, two decades prior. The author dabbled in poetry and was able to hold a pace, so a partnership was born. Jackie and Kendall began the journey to return to running.
