This book attempts to chronicle the history of Italians who immigrated to Akron and Summit County in the late 1800's and early 1900s, established families, businesses, schools and places of worship, forever changing our city and enriching our community. As with any society, there were growing pains and some decided not to play by the rules. Those individuals are not included and have been described in other books.
