Nurse Linda Lark was an eight issue series published by Dell, starting in December of 1961. The
big draw of this book is that it was written by John Stanley, creator of Little Lulu. Where Little
Lulu was funny and thumbed its nose at social norms of the day, Nurse Linda Lark was more of a
melodramatic soap opera. Along with her friend, Charley, Linda mostly worked at the General
Hospital although there was some globetrotting on vacation cruises and medical missions.
The first issue of the series was Linda Lark, Student Nurse. The series' name was changed to
simply Linda Lark for issues #2-4, and the last four issues were titled Nurse Linda Lark.
Most of the artwork for the series was done by John Tartaglione. Inkers for the series included
Dick Giordano, Sal Trapani and Vince Colletta.
THIS BOOK COLLECTS ISSUES #1-8. IT IS AVAILABLE IN BOTH HARD COVER AND TRADE PAPERBACK
AS WELL AS IN EITHER FULL COLOR OF BLACK & WHITE.
