This is a story that inverts sight to the decay that conditions us.
The world is void - in a literal sense. Nothingness is welling up to consume the city of Teldorio, leaving the Sorcerers of the Deep perplexed...and in despair.
Even through the soul-harrowing travails of addiction, Hale reaps the knowledge - the consequences - of his continent-spanning surveilling program, coming to know the bargain he made with the now-deceased God of the soul fields.
In Kawarthesis, the Primer Determiner Vunder rules by enslaving the population, against their knowing, through the culinary deployment of the long veal. Disgusted with the state, Lethé's sister Ulxiss, and a hoyne-addled urchin Bruckmonzee, plan to supplant the prevailing regime. But seeing the roots of the society they are seeking to liberate are even more grotesque than its immoral master, they seek a bargain with the demon Elanguishene. But they may just find that his indiscretions wind deeper than all the Gods that have sustained civilization since the first error was made.
And as Elanguishene pulls even further on the threads of shadows, a confluence enfolds the city of Eldortress, with Radern and Seln as its eye, that will shape the eternal path of spirits as they try to emerge from a world of void.
Meanwhile, in the far western lands of Telch, the white nothingness rises on the sorcerous winds spurred by the insane negator of all being, the vacuous sorceress Drelkay. With the very fabric at stake, all Kaurunn has to do is...not be such a coward? But as is so often the case, love holds him back.
Decadence of decay will leave you craving and dependent on void. Beware, it can only be satisfied on the sullen shore!
