Ten-year-old Spencer and his little brother, Justin, have discovered the under-the-couch world where they can select a door that leads to fun yet dangerous adventures. The brothers go through a door in the circular room that transports them to a forest filled with the biggest trees they have ever seen. They soon learn there are also wild animals. They are escorted out of the forest by a strange owl to an old, abandoned town. But where are all the people? They come across the only person living there - a peculiar woman who claims she's older than the trees. If they go into her house, will she trap them there? Spencer doesn't know if he can trust her but she wants to show them answers to their questions. A bad storm is coming, and their door to return home is far away, deep in the forest.
