German description: Das Thema discipleship als Beschreibung des Christseins gewinnt in internationalen theologischen und kirchlichen Debatten in den letzten Jahren an Bedeutung. Die Studie nahert sich dem Themenkomplex aus einer deutschen, evangelisch-lutherischen Perspektive anhand des Begriffs der Nachfolge. Nachfolge wird in Anlehnung an das neutestamentliche Vorbild als Bildungs- bzw. Lernprozess verstanden. Theologische Grundfragen werden mit bildungs- und lerntheoretischen Erkenntnissen ins Gesprach gebracht und im Anschluss fur das gemeindepadagogische Feld der Erwachsenenbildung fruchtbar gemacht. Die interdisziplinar angelegte Arbeit will zur praktisch-theologischen Reflexion und konstruktiven Gestaltung gemeindlicher und kirchlicher Praxis anregen. English summary: The topic of discipleship as a description of the Christian life has been gaining importance in international theological and ecclesial debates in recent years. This study approaches the complex of topics from a German, Lutheran perspective using the term "Nachfolge". Following the New Testament model, discipleship is understood as an educational or learning process. Basic theological questions are brought into discussion with insights from educational and learning theory and subsequently made fruitful for the field of adult education in church communities. The interdisciplinary study aims to stimulate practical theological reflection and constructive organization of congregational and ecclesial practice.
