Most of the New World slaves were of the East African Bantu tribes, and many of these stories may seem familiar; the Brer Rabbit and Uncle Remus stories of the American South were derived from the stories the plantation slaves brought with them. This book mixes the history and background of the Bantu, with traditional tribal story telling.
