That cryptic sentence draws twenty-two-year-old Lucas Bywood home from his Grand Tour. From the moment he steps back in his family home, he finds himself caught in a complicated tangle of events. His mother is struggling to recover from a riding accident. His father has arranged a marriage for him, and apparently everyone in the county knows about it.
With a house party in play, Lucas finds himself courting a young woman he doesn't like, a furious best friend who wants a duel to satisfy honor, and the responsibility of finding who and why someone had caused an accident for his mother.
