Beauty graced Psyche from the day of her birth. So beautiful is she, that the mortals of her village worship her. Yet she would not have it so. More than anything, she would love to mingle with her fellow villagers without being bombarded with offerings, to form a connection with them, to find someone special to spend the rest of her life with.
But these sentiments fall on deaf ears, as Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, views her as a rival unworthy of the attention she receives. Furious, the goddess sends her son, Eros, to humble the mortal girl. Yet when Eros meets Psyche, he finds something far more captivating than her beauty- a shared sense of loneliness in a world obsessed with appearances. Together, they forge a bond that transcends the superficial. But when curiosity and betrayal come into play, their love faces a test that could undo them both.
