The entire town of Athelstane in northern Wisconsin is enjoying a Christmas bonfire and bratwurst snow picnic, unaware of a grisly murder on a snowmobile path just outside of town. Once again, Ernie and Susie work to find the real killer while the town's sheriff frantically arrests one suspect after another. Meanwhile, Ernie's daughter and Susie's son make life-changing decisions and the sheriff gets a real surprise.
