Any of you who were born into a business family know that this type of business works quite differently. Being born into a business family, I had to constantly prove myself to others that I could be a capable leader once the reigns of the business were handed over to me.
At work I dealt with certain challenges, learned a lot of lessons, and changed as a person. Working at a family business comes with its own set of challenges, and to navigate through that takes a lot of hard work. I learned a few lessons that will resonate with others working in a family business environment.
It may look like my life was all planned out for me, but it really wasn't. With the lessons I learned and the challenges I faced, I learned that I had to decide for myself.
