The author of this workbook felt that there were more people in this world trying to make ends meet from paycheck to paycheck than what statistics were saying. She refers to them as "closet budgeters." How many of us really would admit to others that we are having financial difficulties? In the world of keeping up with the Joneses, she took it upon herself to try to tutor others in what she had discovered to be a simple process to be proactive to their financial needs rather than being reactive after the fact. She felt no one should have to follow the "Joneses'", after all, the Jones's way may not be for everyone. A true believer that Social Security will not be available for her and her husband, she sought out other options to ensure her family's future would be financially healthy.
