Have you ever been on the verge of running out of gas? I am sure this is an experience no one wants to face. Everyone wants to have enough fuel in their car to complete their journey. We can compare this analogy to our prayer lives. A lack of prayer and fellowship with the Lord is like having a car that doesn't have fuel. It's like having a vehicle that can't take you to your destination because there is insufficient energy to propel you forward.
Many times in our lives, we get bogged down with the cares of this world. Thus, focusing on the cares of the world impacts how we pray. If we don't pray as we should, we run low on our spiritual fuel, which is the anointing. The effect of running low on the anointing is that we can see our destination, yet we don't have the strength or power to propel us forward. And until we unlock the door of our gas tank and add fuel, we can't move toward our destination.
Hence, prayer is necessary to advance spiritually. It also helps us to gain victory over the enemy. Without prayer, we can't experience actual change and deliverance. Therefore, the doors we want to see manifested and opened remain closed. So, to move forward in the things of the Lord, we must add prayer to our spiritual tank. We must utilize prayer, praise, and worship as the fuel or the key to unlock the doors that lead to our victory.

When we understand how to pray, praise, and worship, the fire and the anointing of the Lord will flow in every area of our lives. And we know that the anointing is the energy we need to shift us and lead us on to victory.
