The first book of the Project Blight trilogy, will follow eight young adults struggling to survive The Collapse. Meeting the greatest scientist to ever exist, and assisting him in a private experiment called Project Blight. At first they were skeptical as to why he had to go to such an extent to do this Project, but once they arrived to Arizona and began to scratch the surface of the blight. They understood why he had to keep it hidden from the rest of the world. During the few months of training, and bonding with each other at Dr.hex's private home in Arizona they were unaware that some virus took over the world. They lost connection to the outside world, and heard the news of The Collapse. With their new found power called blight, they decide to travel cross country from Arizona to New Jersey with the hopes of Dr.Hex being able to save humanity from the end of the world. Once they return the outside world now without government, the depressing reality swept over the group, it's not just the infected they have to worry about. They also will encounter the cruel nature of humanity.
