These are stories from the women actively engaged in a global, online reading community called
Women Aspiring for More (WAM). WAM
, founded by Dr. Tammy Francis, was set up as an engaging space to build relationships, educate each other, and serve others. WAM was established to encourage reading, promote self-awareness, and invest in self-development through literature and literacy.
In this anthology, the women share their experiences and stories about using reading as a vehicle to grow personally and professionally while in the community reading with like-minded women and engaging in conversations from different perspectives. Each contributor shares how reading with others in WAM has changed their reading habits, reading experience(s), reading enjoyment, and/or attitude toward reading.
