In the kingdom of Shelkite, the Master Sword Bryan, an elite warrior, faces a dire threat from the wizard-king Ret. Tasked with protecting the realm, Bryan's plans are thwarted when he's assigned to guard Alexandra, a fiery half-blood witch. Determined to prove herself despite her novice powers, Alexa, accompanied by her loyal mount, Zhan, and her trusty bow, embarks on a quest that will determine not only the fate of Shelkite, but all the realms. As their journey unfolds, they realize Alexa holds the key to victory or doom, and they must face their destinies head-on, for the sake of their world and all its inhabitants.

Excerpt:
The Merman "Here, come stand beside me." Nereus held out his hand for her. She came to the exquisite man's side at the rock's edge-if she could even call him a man-and tentatively took his hand. Nereus gave her a significant look and raised the massive spear in his hands for her to see. "This spear isn't only used for hunting; it contains its own magic. Hold on to it tight and don't let go. It will allow you to breathe and speak in my world." Eyes sparkling with a touch of adventure and apprehension, Alexa regarded the spear with awe. It looked cold to touch. But when she wrapped her fingers around it, it was warm, and she could feel the magic flow into her. She took in a breath; it was as if she had awakened from a deep sleep. She looked up and reveled in the bright cerulean sky. The world spun haphazardly about her; she was drunk with the pulsing, foreign magic. Then, suddenly, something pierced her windpipe, and she could no longer breathe. Her hand flew to her throat, and panic fled into her eyes. She gasped for air and found she couldn't speak. "Come." Nereus took her other hand and jerked her into the crashing waves.
