Resilience is comprised of three sections. The first section takes the reader through the author Elliot Berger's younger years as a child, teenager, and young adult. Readers will see him grow up in a normal household with a very active and happy childhood.
The second section shows the readers what depression looks like. They will see Elliot in his loneliest and darkest times. Discover how paranoia led to two suicide attempts.
The third section takes the reader through the five ways Elliot is getting better and happier. This section is about turning his life around.
In the epilogue Elliot talks about his current work in a mental health care agency, the final piece of his recovery plan.
About the Author
Elliot Berger worked on Wall Street for about thirty-two years but for many years had a strong desire to be in a helping profession. In 2021 he started the process of reinventing himself and became a provisional peer, someone who had a lived experience and works in the mental health field. He is now working in the healthcare profession as a DSP (direct service professional).
