From the preface: On October 26th, 1947, John Jr. died in an automobile accident...For seventy-three years John's writing has been resting in a black leather valise, waiting. It's waited far too long...Look at his handsome face on the cover and wonder what propelled that young man to write of maturity, heartbreaks, failings and fears, and - above all else - love. His stories capture concepts that society, even today, struggles with. It reminds us that these ideas are not new - the notion of being true to one's self, of taking chances, of living for what is true and good. I believe if he had lived longer, he would have written so much more, imparting greater ideas into our world, leaving it a better place.
