Young, restless Morton, full of wanderlust, is desperate to marvel in the splendor he’s so often heard described. He departs his nest, travelling with his best friend, Johnny. When Johnny meets his soul mate, young Morton decides to continue his journey alone.
Morton does indeed find himself in awe of majestic scenery. Continuing on, however, he begins to find humans’ propensity for violence as fascinating as the scenery he so admires. He soon finds himself in want of further observation. What he witnesses is often disturbing, sometimes inspiring, and virtually always confusing to an animal guided by instinct.
As he travels, he finds himself comparing human behavior to that of animals. He begins to draw conclusions that humanity is destined to fail, its capacity for unnecessary violence both the root and the catalyst for its demise. Then he witnesses a solitary act that could change his view.
Author's note: This novel contains graphic violence and strong language. It is intended for mature audiences only.
