Recover
approximates the grating
hardcore
of
Quicksand
with more modern molten
emo
stylings in the mix. It makes the band sound somewhat fresh, certainly harder than its peers; however, the style would be a lot more impressive in the hands of a band that could write better songs. The debut is top-loaded with the best cuts, including the ferocious lead track,
"Pardon the Wait,"
but quickly diminishes in terms of quality, even if the inspiration lasts far longer. ~ Brian O'Neill
