This film is the second part of the landmark TV miniseries based on the book by Alex Haley. Having been captured from his West-African home by slavers, Kunta Kinte is sold to Virginia tobacco farmer Reynolds. Kunta's transition to slavery is softened by his friendship with American-born slave Fiddler.
