About the Author
Doris Westbrook has a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Texas and a master's degree in education/guidance and counseling from East Texas State University (Texas A&M-Commerce). She is a Dallas Independent School District retired teacher who taught for thirty-six years and substituted for twenty, teaching elementary music and second grade. She is a longtime member of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, where she has been involved in Ladies' Bible Study, Sunday School Leadership, Variety Book Club, and more recently joined the Singing Noteables Group. She is also involved as a docent at the Bush Museum Library once a week.
Doris has two adult daughters, Karen Stogner and Sarah Evetts, and four grandchildren.
