Yesterday, I was attending an ivy-league university.
I drove a forty-thousand-dollar car and had two unlimited credit cards, both of which my father pays.
Not that it came without stipulations, of course, though I hoped to bide time until I could provide for myself, and then I'd be free to live my life for me.
It didn't quite work out that way.
Now I'm sleeping on the subway and worrying about where my next meal will come from, and the last thing I should be concerning myself with is the fancy man in the suit from the diner that lets me come in and warm up from time to time.
But I can't.
I have literally nothing to offer him and now that I've been thrown out on my face with nothing but the clothes on my back, I likely never will.
That doesn't stop Nolan Hendrix though, he's a real-life knight in shining armor.
And he's interested in me.
Against all of the odds and my powerfully connected family, will the pressure of my now-upturned life be too much for the gorgeous and respected man with his life together, or will he see something in me that he thinks is worth saving?
