Apollos, almost 13, but much smarter than your average 13 year-old, outwits his kidnappers, a whole gang of bandits, only to have to admit to them what he has done. He has stolen from them an important scroll that they had stolen from him. The scroll contains The Revelation of Jesus to John which John had trusted Apollos to give to the church in Ephesus. But can he withstand the hatred of a small, but powerful minority in the gang? Can he keep the goodwill of the majority, especially when they learn he has deceived them? Will he be forced to join in their bloody raids? How can he tell them Jesus' way, when he is going his own way? Will they ever give him his freedom? Or cam he outwit them to gain that freedom?
