Situations are basic constitutive elements of events and actions in everyday life and in the arts. The existence, the social and world relations of human beings are not only shaped by them. Rather, situations simultaneously express these conditions, make them recognizable. The arts are particularly able to make use of this implicit knowledge-generating potential, because they work with situations across all media in order to make the unknown or unrecognized accessible and to generate "knowledge" in the process.
